The Ecowitt WittBoy Pro (HP2564) comprises two components the 7-in-1 sonic anemometer with haptic rain gauge and also the new design 7" display.

The large 7" TFT full colour display with inbuilt temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure sensors making it an advanced weather console with full internet access.  

Paired with the 7-in-1 outdoor sensor array (WS90) which no longer uses the traditional tipping bucket rain gauge, but a haptic sensor which measures rain falling. 

The outdoor sensor measures temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV level and light intensity. It requires mounting on the top of a 1 inch pole to ensure accurate readings.

This indoor data, along with the outdoor sensor data is uploaded to the FREE Ecowitt service via WiFi and is used to calculate rainfall rate, wind chill, dew point and heat index. All of this can be viewed on an iOS, Google App, or Ecowitt weather website in a browser.

You are not just limited to weather data on the Ecowitt weather site or App, you can share your data further afield with free access to The UK MetOffice WoW service, Weather Underground, WeatherCloud and your own web server.

    All of these are available to view in the App, or online via Ecowitt.net and in the 3rd party services that support this sensor type.

     

    The Ecowitt HP2560-C console includes the following items:

      Impressive service from Weatherspares

      Very quick delivery, good instructions, worked pretty well out of the box. Trouble free connection to our router. Gives readings for the smallest amount of rain, much more sensitive than our previous tipping bucket type sensor. Maximum daily wind gust speed seems accurate. We have had quite a few weather stations over the years, but the information this unit provides is far superior. Very pleased with the purchase, great piece of kit with no moving part.

      Great piece of kit and great service from Weatherspares

      Quick delivery from Weatherspares with good comms. The Wittboy was relatively easy to set up, ran it indoors for a day to make sure everything was working as it should, then moved it to it's position outside. Wittboy communicates with the panel (with a strong signal from about 15m away), the panel communicates with my router OK. Set up the app on my Android phone, registered for Wunderground, Weathercloud, WOW and Ecowitt, all now receiving my data. All in all, very happy

      Fantastic service & equipment

      Contacted Weather Spares in advance for advice which was really helpful. Placed order and items arrived quickly. Easy to set up along with the apps for iphone and ipad, and the desktop interface. Had a problem with indoor temperature sensor which was reading c: 8 degrees too high however after speaking with Weather Spares, they put me right by advising that what I thought was a Wi-Fi antenna was actually the indoor temp and humidity sensor. Lifted the antenna and all work fine. Fantastic service and product. Have since contacted them for advice on additional sensors which was responded to promptly. If you want a weather station with good backup and support, this is the company to use

      The pre and post sales service from Weatherspares is first class, the company was very helpful and sent the new Ecowitt weatherstation very quickly.

      The Ecowitt station is superb, and is very accurate indeed. The colour console is fantastic as is the free Ecowitt website that stores and displays the data.

      Compared to more expensive weather stations, I highly recommend someone looking at getting a state of the art weather station to purchase the Ecowitt haptic weather station and to purchase it from Weatherspares!

      Easy to set up system

      The Kit was delivered within two days and set up within 30 minutes. I have to admit I was a bit sceptical of purchasing a non-moving system, but once I'd connected the display to my router and found the IP address, I used the GUI on the computer to set up the various websites I connect to (Weathercloud, Wonderground, WOW & awekas), and with a few minutes, each of the sites came live with the 60 second pings, the weather station set out. I'm now looking into the other available sensors (ground moisture, tap timer), to automate the watering of my garden.
