** Please ensure you understand the requirements for this weather station prior to purchase **
The Ecowitt WS6006 is a solar powered weather station designed to monitor micro-climate change where power and WIFI are unavailable. This weather station can broadcast weather data to online weather services or user’s own weather server through mobile data network.
Due to high power consumption, we don’t support Rapid Fire Update mode. We recommended a 10 minutes interval for solar powered and 3 minute interval when USB powered.
The WS6006 solar powered weather station is supplied with instruments to measure indoor and outdoor temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, wind speed, wind direction, precipitation, solar and UV radiation. It also calculates dew point and heat index. The maximum transmission distance between the sensors and receiving base station is 100 meters.
Programmable SMS Alerts can be configured to send text messages to three mobile phones. The alarm can be configured to use the following weather data thresholds: temperature, humidity, wind, rain, dew point and gust. Users can also receive the weather data from the unit by texting a key word.
Weather Data can be permanently stored in a micro SD card (not included). The system has a low power maintain mode such that user will never experience data loss.
PC Software via USB provides a data display and data analysis tool. Enabling easy access to the weather data stored on the SD card.
You station data can be shared further afield with free access to Ecowitt.net (which supports the additional sensors below), the UK MetOffice WoW service, Weather Underground, WeatherCloud and your own web server.
Unlike some other stations, the latest version of the Ecowitt WS6006 can be expanded with additional 433MHz sensors, click here to view the latest Ecowitt sensor matrix.
All of these are available to view in the App, or online via Ecowitt.net service.
Please ensure that any additional sensors added are 433MHz frequency.
