With temperatures becoming more extreme it's more important than ever to be able to monitor specific items that affect your daily life.
To help with this Ecowitt has recently launched the WN38 Black Globe Thermometer which gives measurements of wet bulb globe temperature (WBGT)and heat stress monitoring.
Why is this an important addition?
Well standard thermometers measure air temperatures in the shade, but when you are in the sun your body absorbs intense radiant heat a major cause of heat stroke. The WN38 adds these measurements to your system giving you a traffic light system and actual measurements of temperature stress.
