This mounting pole is well-made with a strong bracket, ideal for outdoor sensors like the Ecowitt Wittboy. Customers praised the proper 2.5cm diameter and sturdy construction. However, multiple shoppers noted the pole is quite short at 50cm, which may limit accurate readings. Some received scratched poles. Fast delivery was appreciated.
Was looking for something to fit my Ecowitt Wittboy WS90 sensor array and this fits perfectly. I have it on top of my fence post and it all feels sturdy enough. Impressed with the extremely fast delivery times. Not so impressed with the scratches all along the pole itself which made me think this was a badly treated return. Hopefully this won't have any lasting effect on the pole but we'll see.
Thank you for taking the time to write your review and we appreciate your feedback. Firstly, I can confirm this is a new item. We did enquire with the manufacturer about the marks, but these are unavoidable and made by an automated machine feeding and gripping the pole during the cutting process. The pole is made of solid aluminium so these will not cause any ptoblems as far as wear or corrosion. We were offered a polishing option, however this would give a slippery finish and a 3 x higher cost!

Just wanted a pole to start with this was ideal
The fixing bracket is strong enough for the WittBoy, but the pole provided is quite short (50cm). However a 6' long 25mm diameter tube from B&Q enabled me to raise the WIttBoy well above shed roofs and walls.
We appreciate your feedback on the mounting pole. As customers have so many differnet mounting requirements for their equipment we offer this as a simple option for those looking for an easy low level mounting on a shed or post. Also thank you for mentioning that a longer solution is availalbe from a local DIY store, we also recommend Screwfix and Toolstation along with online merchant CPC as suppliers of longer version with differnet mountings.
It's quite hard to find a proper mounting pole for outdoor sensors, especially if you need diameter 2.5cm. For example for Ecowitt Wittboy or Acurite weather station. But finaly I found this that fits perfectly by size. I was nicely surprised that the seller reacted to my comments in well mannered constructive way. So just positive experiance.

What's the diameter of the pole?
The diameter is exactly 1" / 25mm and designed for the WS90 (WittBoy products) along with other sensor arrays.
Could you please tell me what length the pole is and also what material it is made from: ie stainless steel, galvanised ,just mild steel, or chrome plated.

The tube is 16swg Aluminium with a length of 48cm and the base is galvanised steel. The product is manufactured in the UK.
What are the dimensions of the bracket please ie how far out from the wall/post to which the pole is vertically attached would it come?
The bracket will bring the pole out from the wall by 1cm.  The bracket should me mounted towards the top of a wall/post as per the third image so that the station sits above this with free flowing air.  The flat metal base is 10cm x 4.2cm in size.
