The Ecowitt WS6210 solar powered gateway is designed to monitor micro-climate change where power is unavailable. With suitable sensors added, the gateway can broadcast weather data to online weather services or user’s own weather server through selected 4G and 2G mobile data networks. Or if near enough to a suitable location WiFi.

The WS6210 supports both Wi-Fi and 4G connections for receiving and processing data from the sensors you add. When used is a remote location the WS6210 uses 4G for data transmission due to the lack of Wi-Fi coverage. In locations where WiFi is available the WS6210 prioritises Wi-Fi for data transmission. If WiFi disconnects, it switches to 4G to maintain continuous data flow.

Weather Data can be permanently stored in the included 8GB micro SD card. The system has a low power maintain mode such that user will never experience data loss.

All of these are available to view in the App, or online via Ecowitt.net service.

Please ensure that the sensors added are 868MHz frequency.

Requirements for installation:

  • Mobile signal coverage 4G or 2G (3G is no longer available in some areas) 
  • A compatible 4G network.
  • An appropriate pole for the sensor array
  • Supports Wi-Fi and 4G, prioritising Wi-Fi for data upload to the weather station server
  • Sensor Support for almost all Ecowitt 868MHz sensors, viewable via a web interface and Ecowitt app
  • Supports web configuration, sensor data viewing, server settings, calibration parameters and Sensor ID settings
  • Compatible with Ecowitt IoT devices: WFC01 and AC1100
  • Automatic timezone and network time acquisition, unit settings.
  • Operates on UK/EU frequency 868MHz
  • Embedded SD card for web data download
