The Ecowitt WittBoy Pro (HP2564) comprises two components the 7-in-1 sonic anemometer with haptic (Piezo) rain gauge and also the new design 7" display.
The large 7" TFT full colour display with inbuilt temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure sensors makes it an advanced weather console with full WiFi internet connectivity and local SD card storage.
Paired with the 7-in-1 outdoor sensor array (WS90) which no longer uses the traditional tipping bucket rain gauge, but a haptic sensor which measures rainfall. The revised rainfall sensor is slightly sloped to improve accuracy and prevent rain pooling and also includes rain start detection before any measurable rain has fallen.
The outdoor sensor also measures temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV level and light intensity. It requires mounting on the top of a 1 inch pole to ensure accurate readings. To keep the top of the rain, UV and light sensor clear of debris we also include anti bird spikes which can be installed should this become a tempting spot for birds to perch.
This indoor data, along with the outdoor sensor data is uploaded to the FREE Ecowitt service via WiFi and is used to calculate rainfall rate, wind chill, dew point and heat index. All of this can be viewed on an iOS, Google App, or the Ecowitt weather website in a browser.
You are not just limited to weather data on the Ecowitt weather site or App, you can optionally share your data further afield with access to:

So far so good.. quick delivery relatively easy to set up, including connections to Ecowitt.net and Wunderground.
Very efficient service with regards to the ordering and delivery service, items arrived in two days.
Weather station easy to set up and mount on the pole I purchased. Display large and easy to read with plenty of information.
Only slight problem were the instructions. Translation a bit poor in places making it a little difficult to set up at times.

Great quality and intuitive weather station. I love alot of the attention to detail. Only had it set up for a week but was really easy to set up. Had an issue with WiFi set up but the customer service here is great. Always very quick to respond and very knowledgeable. Additional sensors are easy to add too. Would definately recommend Weather Spares and the Wittboy Pro
Very quick delivery, good instructions, worked pretty well out of the box. Trouble free connection to our router. Gives readings for the smallest amount of rain, much more sensitive than our previous tipping bucket type sensor. Maximum daily wind gust speed seems accurate. We have had quite a few weather stations over the years, but the information this unit provides is far superior. Very pleased with the purchase, great piece of kit with no moving part.
Quick delivery from Weatherspares with good comms. The Wittboy was relatively easy to set up, ran it indoors for a day to make sure everything was working as it should, then moved it to it's position outside. Wittboy communicates with the panel (with a strong signal from about 15m away), the panel communicates with my router OK. Set up the app on my Android phone, registered for Wunderground, Weathercloud, WOW and Ecowitt, all now receiving my data. All in all, very happy
