The Ecowitt WH0298_C display helps you monitor your water temperature in a pool or pond when used with the WN36 sensor (not included) 

The Ecowitt WH0298_C monitor displays the current, maximum and minimum temperatures along with how long ago the event occurred.

The WH0298 has the ability to display data from a maximum of 8 temperature sensors, including the WN30, WN/WH31, WN/WH31_EP, and WN36.
