This power supply with an option of 10 or 20 meter cable provides power for the heater element in the Ecowitt Ultrasonic anemometers.

Using the optional heater helps to keep snow and ice clear of the wind sensor plate gauze improving readings in subzero temperatures and also provides a power source for the WS90 (WittBoy) in dark locations.

We ensure that the power adapter is supplied with a UK, European or North American mains plug. It is recommended that the power transformer is housed in a dry location, ideally indoors and only the low voltage cable is outdoors.

This item is suitable for use with the following units which include the sonic anemometer:

  • WS80 Sonic array
  • WS90 Sonic array with haptic rain sensor
  • HP2553 weather station
  • HP2654 WittBoy Pro
  • GW1003/GW1103/GW1203 weather stations
  • GW2001 WittBoy

The 120/220v power transformer must be located indoors, the 12 volt cable can safely be used outdoor.

Constant Power

I brought this as my batteries failed in my WS90,
I then had to replace the batteries while getting the ladder out trying to manoeuvre to replace the batteries and I thought they got to be a easier way to do this so I don’t have to keep getting the ladder out.
I looked on the website and found this I ordered it and the delivery was super quick as it arrived the next day.
I wired it in as it’s only I little plug attached the other end of the wire to the transformer and plugged the transformer into the wall and hey presto it’s come to life with no batteries needed.
I should have brought this when I was setting up my weather station to save a lot of hassle.
Believe me it’s worth the buy :-}
