The Ecowitt gateway weather station includes a solar powered 7-in-1 outdoor sensor and the choice of IoT WiFi gateways. This station makes an ideal starter pack for those that wanting a weather station with full internet access and that can be expanded.

The outdoor 7-in-1 sensor measure temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV level and light intensity. 

The gateway can be configured through the Ecowitt App or a web browser so a smart device is optional for the setup. The gateway connects to the included outdoor sensor array along with a variety of additional optional sensors. With Internet of Things (IoT) the gateway can control and manage Ecowitt IoT devices such as water valves and power sockets. This is a great starter pack for setting up your own weather station ecosystem.

The WiFi gateway is USB powered and also has indoor temperature, humidity and barometric pressure sensors on a wired probe so that they can be kept away from sources of heat which would skew readings.

The GW1201 model includes the standard WiFi gateway with IoT control, or there is the GW3002 models which adds a wired LAN port, external antenna and MicroSD card slot for local data recording.

All the sensor data is uploaded to the Ecowitt service via WiFi and is used to calculate rainfall rate, wind chill, dew point and heat index. All of this can be viewed on the App, or Ecowitt weather website in a browser.

You are not just limited to weather data on the Ecowitt weather site or App, you can optionally share your data further afield with access to:
