Davis WeatherLink Live 6100
QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
Having used a Weatherlink USB logger connected to a computer for a number of years, using a Vantage Pro 2, I now have an extensive archive of historic data. Unfortunately Davis have pulled the plug on Mac support for this set-up so it doesn't work now. Does the Davis Weatherlink Live store data anywhere apart from in its own 180 day memory that can be accessed for historic records? Does this also give any measurements of conditions for where the device is located, i.e. indoors, like my existing VP2 display that shows both external and internal measurements?
Yes, WeatherLink Live uploads data to the WeatherLink.com data network and for a small fee historical graphs and reports can be created. The upload is carried out over your own WiFi so you can view your data remotely on a PC, tablet or smart phone.
Your existing data can also be uploaded to the WeatherLink Live network so historical records are not lost.
The WeatherLink Live device has a barometric pressure sensor, temperature and humidity sensor built in so that these readings are also available from the devices location - the same as a standard console.
I have a Vantage pro2 which I brought in from the USA quite a few years ago. Will this work with my unit using US frequencies for packet transmission?
No, this is a UK speific model and will only received data from European transmitters. The UK product also has a UK power supply included which would not be something available from an import.
