The latest and most accurate Davis digital temperature and humidity sensor for the Vantage Pro2 range of external sensor suites and temperature / humidity stations (built from 2006 onwards).

This latest revision includes the enhanced double coated clear PCB sealant and the white sensor screen and cap. Importantly the SHT31 sensor is the enhanced temperature and humidity sensor that gives greater accuracy than the earlier Davis products using the SHT11 and SHT15 sensors.

This sensor offers exceptional accuracy of within +/- 2% from 0-100% humidity and within +/- 0.2C from -5C to +65C on temperature.

When using this sensor with ISS transmitters manufactured between 2006 and December 2015 a small offset adjustment is required to the temperature readings obtained.

Using a pre December 2015 transmitter (manufacturing code AR and earlier) with this temperature / humidity sensor will result in the Temperature reading 0.5C (0.9F) high. To counteract this error a calibration offset should be applied in the console to reduce the temperature by 0.5C (see page 26 of your console manual for calibration details).

To assist with the replacement of the temperature and humidity sensor Davis have kindly provided the following instructional videos:

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Do I need to add a temperature offset for an older transmitter?

If you check your ISS transmitter label just above the sensor connectors you will find a manufacturing code.

Codes starting AS or later do not require a temperature offset. Those AR or earlier do require a -0.5c offset to be applied to the outdoor temperature to prevent it reading high.

  • I have a 6152EU VP2. How do I know which sensor is currently installed? i.e. how will I know whether to set up the 0.5 degree offset?

You will need to check the product label under the sensor suite solar panel. If you manufacturing code begins AS (or later) then you have this newer sensor. Letters before AS (AB etc) have the older sensor.

  • If I buy the latest Davis Vantage Pro2 6153UK from you, will it include the TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY SENSOR SHT31 (7346.070) as standard?

Yes, all models of the Davis Pro2 weather stations now include the SHT31 sensor as standard.

  • Hi. This sensor looks similar to the defective one in my old Oregon WMR300. Do you think the Davis humidity sensor might work with my Oregon? Thanks and kind regards, Ole

They look similar, but the Davis sensor cannot be used with the Oregon WMR300 station.
