- Pull the cups straight down to remove.
- Locate the large black cross head screw on the existing cartridge and fully remove.
- Whilst keeping the top section of the anemometer head held in place install the new cartridge and screw into position.

- Tighten the wind cups using the hex bolt on the side until this grips the metal shaft. A gentle pull up will ensure they are secure.
- Test by spinning and checking a reading registers.
- Return the sensor suite to its original location and orientation.
If you have lost your Allen key to remove the hex bolt, these are available as a spare item.
Working perfect. Great experience ordering from Weather Spares, quick and efficient even to anotjer jurisdiction.
Our Davis weather station stopped reporting low wind speeds and I suspect gusts were being under recorded. The original cartridge clearly needed replacing.
Ordered this cartridge online and delivery was very prompt.
The cartridge is secured by one screw and easily removed. The new one is different in that the part housing the magnet is now sealed, a big improvement. Comparing the spindles the new one was silky smooth whereas the old one grated.
Apart from the time spent accessing the weather station the whole job took no more than 15 minutes.
I should have really replaced this before now. I purchased the weather station nearly 8 years ago and I noticed that the readings were low about a year ago. The replaced bearings now means that l record light zephyrs! Good service by Weather's pares at a competitive price.
