  • How does one go about getting the old one off along with disconnecting it and then getting the new one on and connecting it? Is a heat gun needed to loosen the adhesive?

    No, please do not use a heat gun to loosen the adhesive as it may damage other plastic parts and delicate sensors which are under this area.

    If the rear of the console is removed the lower circuit board can be peeled away from the keypad as it comes out.  The keypad can then be pushed out through the front of the case. 

    The new keypad has no electrical connections.
