Davis Vantage Pro2 ISS Digital Temperature & Humidity Sensor SHT31 7346.070
Manufacturer Davis Instruments
QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
Do I need to add a temperature offset for an older transmitter?
If you check your ISS transmitter label just above the sensor connectors you will find a manufacturing code.
Codes starting AS or later do not require a temperature offset. Those AR or earlier do require a -0.5c offset to be applied to the outdoor temperature to prevent it reading high.
I have a 6152EU VP2. How do I know which sensor is currently installed? i.e. how will I know whether to set up the 0.5 degree offset?
You will need to check the product label under the sensor suite solar panel. If you manufacturing code begins AS (or later) then you have this newer sensor. Letters before AS (AB etc) have the older sensor.
If I buy the latest Davis Vantage Pro2 6153UK from you, will it include the TEMPERATURE & HUMIDITY SENSOR SHT31 (7346.070) as standard?
Yes, all models of the Davis Pro2 weather stations now include the SHT31 sensor as standard.
Hi. This sensor looks similar to the defective one in my old Oregon WMR300. Do you think the Davis humidity sensor might work with my Oregon? Thanks and kind regards, Ole
They look similar, but the Davis sensor cannot be used with the Oregon WMR300 station.
